Live At The International Fly Fishing Film Festival Birmingham, AL
In the spring of 2023, The Storied Outdoors Podcast was offered the opportunity to set up a booth for the International Fly Fishing Film Festival in Birmingham, AL.
The festival featured the first Alabama Film, filmed in Alabama, catching a bass species unique to only Alabama, Anglers from Alabama, and an Alabama Based Film company. The two anglers featured in the film were none other than Mary Beth Meeks from episode 77 of the podcast and Dr. "Redeye" himself, Matt Lewis from Episode 75 of the podcast. Two guests from the current season were featured in the film, and a big party to celebrate it, and we were fortunate to be there. It was like a family reunion of friends from the Fly Fishing community here in Alabama, many of which have been on the show already.
This episode is the combination of four conversations we had at the International Fly Fishing Film Festival in Birmingham, Ala. We were joined by local members of the fly fishing community: Andre Davis, Ande Whitten, Paul Terry, and Robin Simms. Each of them had a great story to tell and we were honored to get to share it with you. We hope you will enjoy this episode that was recorded live from Cahaba Brewery in Birmingham.
