Mary Beth Meeks: Block Print Artist & Fly Fisherwomen
Mary Beth is an artist and fisherwoman. But she’s not just any artist. She specializes in block prints of nature and wildlife. And we can’t wait to hear about what that means.
On this episode we get to hear about Mary Beth’s journey in art and fly fishing. She shares with us about her upbringing and we all reminisce about collecting worms and bait to fish with our Zebco 33 as kids.
We loved hearing about the process of making a block print, which is fascinating. We end out time hearing the story about the filming of “The Slam That Saves.” The films captures the adventured of Mary Beth and our friend Dr. Matt Lewis as they chase down and catch the Redeye Bass slam in one day. The guys with Dorsal films do and incredible job capturing this adventure and shinning a spotlight on the incredible species of fish found only in Alabama. They chase the redeye bass and there are some fun stories about that process. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did.
